About This Policy

This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) describes how Voluware, Inc. (dba Valer Health, ValerNet, and Automate Connect Succeed) and its affiliates (“Valer,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and processes information collected about you online, including from the Valer.health website (the “Site”). It explains your rights with respect to that information and how to contact us with questions or requests.

This Policy applies only to information about you we collect from the Site. This Policy does not apply to information that Valer receives as a data processor, service provider, or business associate on behalf of our customers (e.g. employers, hospitals, health systems). Valer does not control how customers use this information—please contact the respective customer to understand their practices.

Please read this Policy carefully. By accessing or otherwise using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read and understand that Valer may process information about you as described in this Policy.

Information We Collect

We collect information about you when you access or otherwise use our Site. The types of information we collect depend on how you use our Site. Please note that we need certain types of information to provide the Site to you. If you do not provide us with such information, or if you ask us to delete that information, you may no longer be able to access or use certain aspects of the Site.

The information we collect may include data you directly provide to us, data we obtain automatically from your interactions with our Site, and data we obtain from other sources.

Information You Provide Directly to Us

We collect information you voluntarily provide to us online, such as when you submit a contact or demo request, communicate with us, or participate in surveys or events. The types of information we may collect directly from you include: (1) name; (2) organization you are associated with; (3) email address; (4) content of communications you send to us; (5) support and troubleshooting requests; and (6) feedback.

Information Collected Automatically

We or our third-party vendors may also collect certain information about your use of the Site and the devices you use to access the Site, including through cookies and other tracking technologies. This information may include your IP address, browser types, browser language, operating system, the state or country from which you accessed the Site, software and hardware attributes (including device IDs) referring and exit pages and URLs, platform type, the number of clicks, files you download, domain names, landing pages, pages viewed and the order of those pages, the amount of time spent on particular pages, the terms you use in searches on our sites, the date and time you used the Site, error logs, and other similar information. We may also collect general location information (e.g., IP address, city/state and or postal code associated with an IP address) from your computer or mobile device.

You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but your browser may allow you to modify your browser settings to decline cookies if you prefer. If you disable cookies, you may be prevented from taking full advantage of the Site, because the Site may not function properly. As we adopt additional technologies, we may also gather additional information through other methods.

Information From Non-Affiliated Parties

We may receive information about you from non-affiliated parties, such as identity verification and fraud prevention services, vendors, and mutual business contacts.

How We Use The Information About You We Collect

We may use the information we collect to:

  • Operate, maintain, the troubleshoot the Site — deliver content, ensure functionality, and maintain the security of the Site
  • Respond to your questions or otherwise communicate with you — respond to inquiries, provide support, send service-related notifications, and deliver product updates
  • Improve the Site and our services — analyze usage patterns, conduct research, fix issues, and improve content
  • Personalization — personalize the Site and/or services we provide
  • Marketing and outreach — send information about our products and services to prospective and current customers
  • Safety, security, and fraud prevention — detect and investigate unauthorized access, misuse, or fraudulent activity; protect the safety and integrity of our users, employees, third parties, members of the public, and/or our Site and services
  • Legal and compliance obligations — comply with applicable law, respond to legal process, enforce our agreements, and exercise or defend legal claims
  • Carry out any other purpose for which the information was collected

We may combine information that we collect from you through the Site with information that we obtain from or through other sources. We may also aggregate and/or de-identify information collected through the Site. We may use and disclose de-identified or aggregated data for any purpose, including without limitation, for research and marketing purposes.

When We Disclose Information About You

We may disclose the information we collect about you in the following circumstances:

Vendors. We engage third-party vendors to help us operate the Site (for example: cloud hosting, analytics, customer support software, email delivery).

Affiliates. We may disclose information about you to affiliated companies.

Legal Requirements and Safety. We may disclose information about you when required by law, court order, subpoena, or other legal process, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.

Business Transfers. If Valer is involved in negotiations or a business transaction involving a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or reorganization, information about you may be transferred as part of that negotiation or transaction.

Advertising and Analytics. We may disclose or make available some of your information to advertising and analytics partners to serve advertisements on our behalf across the Internet and to provide analytics services. These entities may use cookies or other tracking technologies to allow us to, among other things, track and analyze data, determine the popularity of certain content, deliver advertising and content targeted to your interests, and better understand your online activity. With Your Consent. We may disclose information about you with third parties at your direction or with your consent.

Aggregate/De-Identified Information. We reserve the right to create aggregate/de-identified data from the information we collect through the Site and our disclosure of such aggregate/de-identified data is in our discretion.

Online Analytics and Tailored Advertising

Analytics

We may use third-party web analytics services on the Site, such as those of Google Analytics. These vendors use the sort of technology described in the “Information Collected Automatically” section above to help us analyze how users use the Site, including by noting the third-party website from which you arrive. The information collected by such technology will be disclosed to or collected directly by these vendors, who use the information to evaluate your use of the Site. We also use Google Analytics for certain purposes related to advertising, as described in the following section. To prevent Google Analytics from using your information for analytics, you may install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.

Tailored Advertising

We may also allow third-party advertising networks to place cookies or other tracking technologies on your computer, mobile phone, or other device to collect information about your use of the Site in order to (a) inform, optimize, and serve marketing content based on past visits to our Site and other sites and (b) report how our marketing content impressions and interactions with these marketing impressions are related to visits to our Site. We also allow other unaffiliated parties (e.g., ad networks and ad servers such as Google Analytics) to serve tailored marketing to you and to access their own cookies or other tracking technologies on your computer, mobile phone, or other device you use to access the Site. Those parties that use these technologies may offer you a way to opt out of targeted advertising as described below. You may receive tailored advertising on your computer through a web browser. Cookies may be associated with de-identified data linked to or derived from data you voluntarily have submitted to us (e.g., your email address) that we may share or disclose to a vendor in hashed, non-human-readable form.

To opt out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising or customize Google Display Network ads, you can visit the Google Ads Settings page. Please note that to the extent advertising technology is integrated into the Site, you may still receive advertising content even if you opt out of tailored advertising. In that case, the advertising content may not be tailored to your interests. Also, we do not control any of the above opt-out links and are not responsible for any choices you make using these mechanisms or the continued availability or accuracy of these mechanisms. If your browsers are configured to reject cookies when you visit these opt-out pages, or you subsequently erase your cookies, use a different computer or change web browsers, your opt-out may no longer be effective.

Data Security

Valer implements administrative, technical, and physical safeguards protect information we collect about you. While we work diligently to protect your information, no security system is impenetrable. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of information we collect.

Do Not Track Statement

Our Site does not respond differently or limit their practices under the terms of this Policy when you access the Site with a browser that uses a do not track signal.

Data Retention

We keep information about you for the time necessary for the purposes for which it is processed. The length of time for which we retain information depends on the purposes for which we collected and use it and your choices, after which time we may delete and/or aggregate it.

Your Choices

Account Information. You may update, correct, or modify information about you at any time by logging into your account or emailing us at privacy@valer.health.

Cookies. Most web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. If you prefer, you can usually choose to set your browser to remove or reject browser cookies. The method for disabling cookies may vary by device and browser, but can usually be found in your device or browser preferences or security settings. Please note that if you choose to remove or reject cookies, this could affect the availability and functionality of the Site.

Marketing Emails. You may opt out of receiving marketing emails from us by following the instructions in those marketing emails. If you choose to opt out, we will still send you non-marketing communications, such as those about your account or our ongoing business relations.

Third-Party Services and Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services not operated by Valer. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you visit.

Children’s Privacy

Our Site is intended for adults and healthcare professionals who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18 years of age. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a minor under 18 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete that information as required by law. Notice to Individuals Located Outside of the United States

If you are visiting from the European Union or other regions with laws governing data collection and use, please note that you are agreeing to the transfer of your information outside the country in which you reside, including, but not limited to the United States, where data protection and privacy regulations may not offer the same level of protection as in other parts of the world. Your information may be transferred for processing and storage by Valer and our affiliates and third parties. If you do not want your information to leave your jurisdiction, do not provide the information to us. By providing information to us, you explicitly consent to the transfer of your information to the United States.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. When we make changes, we will:

  • Update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this Policy
  • Post the revised Policy on this page
  • For material changes, notify you in accordance with applicable law, which may include providing a notice on our Site

Your continued use of the Site after the effective date of any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
